Patron Saint Festivities of Our Lady of Candelaria

Place: Plaza de La Candelaria
Organized by: Ingenio City Council

On the occasion of the Patron Saint Festivities of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria (February 2), the Taifa Dance, Pilgrimage-Offering to the Virgin, Election of Ancient Romeros, Zone of Ancient Choirs and Dances of Ingenio and Festival of Bands of Music Villa de Ingenio in the Plaza de la Candelaria.
Dozens of parrandas and folk groups from the place, from other municipalities and the attending public participate.

In these very traditional festivals the Meeting of Repentistas Verseando, pilgrimages, the cattle fair, concerts, tastings, festivals, children’s entertainment, taifa dance and artisan market, among other acts, are celebrated.

On the day of the celebration of San Blas, (February 3), the popular thread of San Blas is delivered in the Parish of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria. In the afternoon, several artisans and residents of the municipality organize a tasting of homemade desserts made by themselves in the Plaza de la Candelaria.
